Vehicle registration with citation- Help

So I have court today for my vehicle registration being out of date. I've tried to register online but because of the citation it says that I can't. The tax assessor office that I have to renew my registration at has horrific hours. I don't have any PTO to use and they're only open during my work hours and closed on weekends. What would happen if I just clicked no when the online form asks if I have a citation? Would I get in legal trouble for renewing my registration like that? Idc about paying the citation fee with my registration but I don't want to show up to court without a renewal receipt and I don't have any PTO to waste on a trip to the tax assessor office. Any advice? Please help
