I built a lightweight DWG viewer for iPad/Mac and I’m looking for blunt feedback from AutoCAD users
Hi everyone,
I’m the developer of PlanInspect, a lightweight DWG viewer for iPad and Mac. I built it for quick drawing review: open local DWG files, inspect layers/layouts, measure, add notes/markups, and export feedback without needing a full CAD setup.
I’m not trying to replace AutoCAD. I’m trying to make the “open this DWG quickly on site / in a meeting / away from the workstation” workflow less painful.
I have 5 free Apple promo links for people willing to test it with real DWG files and send honest feedback.
What I’m most interested in:
- Does your DWG open correctly?
- Are layers/layouts usable?
- Are measurements useful enough?
- What breaks or feels missing?
- Would this be useful for review/field work, or not really?
If this fits your workflow, comment or DM me with the kind of DWG files you’d test it on, and I’ll share a link.
No App Store review expected or requested. I’m just looking for practical feedback.
Thanks!
