Running Convergence in Two Weeks, Tips/Suggestions?
So here's the skinny:
On the heels of LTL, and then Next of Kin, I'm running Convergence for my group. They're decently experienced with the game now except for 2/5 players. LTL and Next of Kin was their first two games into DG. The others have played many times before.
I'm using Clyde Baughman from LTL; he's now controlled by the Mi-Go due to his knowledge of DG and prior missions coinciding with them. I had this idea that he could be their perfected alien-human hybrid. Combining the best of their experiments (Spivey, Scott Adams, Jane Allen, etc.) into someone that has enough enhancements while not suffering so much of the problematic after-effects. This can happen much later in the scenario, preferably after the Mi-Go abduct one of my agents.
Some of my problems with Convergence, though, seems to be a lack of info when it comes to solving the issue of abduction. Like once a player is abducted and have some of their internal organs removed and replaced with the protomatter to seal it all up, what tools do they have to fix it? They're gonna need new organs. A call to DG's finest after they deal with the protomatter issue in town?
Normally I wouldn't worry about it, but the abduction is out of the player's agency. I'd like to give them back some agency with regard to fixing their condition. It says in the book how to solve the situation, but I'm thinking I can put in a few hints in that direction.
Same with the barn. Like if they don't know it's there, they won't know to get there. But I can't hand it to them too early.
So just general suggestions and tips along with the above would be appreciated!
