Among us Show theory: Air Sacs

SpoilerAmong Us TV Show

So I watched the show 2 days ago, and I was thinking about why red suddenly has toes after he fails to captain kick the reactor, and how the crew can survive so long without oxygen.

The answer is simple: their skin is made of air sacs.

Physically:
Looking at dead bodies, their outer skin is actually fairly thick, plenty of space to be filled with air. When damaged, or when air runs low, their skin shrinks and the underneaths are shown. (for example, red's toes, when they put on their clothes during the oxygen sabotage, especially black and her choker) but can be reinflated back to original size

Purpose:
They seem to be some manner of space faring specifies, and it seems like the air sacs help with the issues which come with space travel. For example, they are able to work on asteroids with no atmosphere (such as the one where they get the ore from, and Industria). They can also, for whatever reason, survive the vacuum of space. Yellow should have exploded in the vacuum, not only seen in orange (who I believe had their sacs deflate on death, instead being puffed up by the parasite) and even the eggs (which seem to be made from some manner of hard material) which explode like fireworks in the last episode. It's possible that impostors just have a lot of air in them , but I think it's more likely the spacesuit species just has a gas that pushes against the vacuum. It also allows for ship hulls to be breached easily and oxygen to go offline for a long time without brain damage (instead, getting high? I know humans do too, but not for as long as they do)

How:
My guess is that they can turn excess oxygen into a high pressure gas to store, or maybe they just have some manner of biological pump (like... inverse lungs or something) to constantly push oxygen stored through their skin, keeping it inflated. This could also explain why most of their body expands/contracts when breathing heavily instead of just their chest; they can breath through their skin (I believe some animals on Earth do this as well).

Possible Counter arguments:

  1. Why aren't they seen visually? - It would look weird from an animation stand point, or they're just small sacs
  2. Why don't they deflate on death? - Likely some mechanism to prevent deflation when pierced, but not killed
  3. But green stays inflated while he lurks in the vents (When he kills cyan and brown) - It's possible that green just over inflated the skin for a little, or left some pink goo inside to prevent the air from leaking out. Given it takes 8 minutes to run out of air, I can see this being possible.
  4. I don't think the writers / animators were thinking about that - Oh well.

What do you guys think? have any other moments which prove/disprove what I say?
