I built the opposite of whatever else does: Not another Predictor, but a real, unique fantasy football concept that you will keep playing every day. Pick one player, every day.
Full disclosure, I made this. It's free, there's no money involved anywhere, and I know this sub is drowning in "I built a thing" posts, so I'm sneaking in before kickoff while these are still allowed 😄
Quick backstory: I ran a version of this game during the NBA playoffs this spring. Small crowd, ~70 players, most came from Reddit NBA communities & word-of-mouth. What surprised me is that half of the day 1 people were still making picks six weeks later. Every pool I've ever joined with friends was dead by matchday 3, so the format seems to be doing something right.
The whole game is one decision a day:
- You pick one player from that day's fixtures. No squad, no budget, no transfers, no captain armband.
- Their real stats become your fantasy points. In the football version goals are 25, assists 10, clean sheets matter for keepers and defenders, and tackles, saves and key passes all count. Defenders are genuinely playable, it's not a strikers-only game.
- The catch: once you use a player, they're burned for the entire tournament. Spend Mbappé in the group stage and he's gone for your knockout run. This one rule is basically the entire game. By week two your league chat is arguing about who wasted whom.
- Private leagues with an invite code, so it works as an office pool. People who can't name five footballers can play. It's one pick, not a research project.
You can try it without an account, the pick console is right on the landing page with the real fixtures: one-a-day-fantasy.com

I can write a lot about the different features that I built into it, like star rating, player news, push notifications, etc. but better for you to discover them in the game.
Hope you enjoy the World Cup and this makes it a little bit more fun for you and your friend groups, that's the whole purpose of me building it! ❤️
Question for this sub, since you all take fantasy seriously: how do you feel about the site's homepage? I have seen that a lot of people have a hard time understanding the concept or paying enough attention... but once they do, they get hooked and stay around, very invested and hyped for the game.
