Is anything being done to fix the accidentally closing tab issue on Firefox mobile app (iOS)?

Absolutely hate this new version of Firefox mobile for IOS., if I have many tabs open, whenever i simply try to select an open tab, it is closed due to an issue with the touch target size or sensitivity. Then Ito retrieve the closed tab , I have to go through a 2-step process. It happens on average several times a day.
