Need urgent help with colleges

I need urgent help with selecting colleges as there isn't much time left for counselling. I'm recent diploma graduate and I have a pretty ok ECET rank of around 280~ I think I have a good chance of getting into some of the top eamcet colleges (correct me if I'm wrong). Now here's the problem, the only colleges I found which seem to be actually good are JNTUH colleges (like a post on this sub from u/theusscoder ranking top eamcet colleges). Now this shouldn't be a problem, but recently I've seen and heard lots of criticism about their paper correction problems:- Not being transparent, Costly re-evaluation, Inconsistent grading, Bad evaluation, etc. I've read many horror stories of people getting their GPA screwed because of this, and this is the main reason why I'm avoiding JNTUH colleges. Now the question I want to ask is, Is this actually true? Does it differ from college to college? Is this as big of a problem as people make it out to be or is it exaggerated? How much has this affected you guys personally? Should I go for these colleges despite this problem?
