Lesson not learned
I (46M) started chatting from OLD with a (42F) for almost two months. I purposefully tried not to prolong meeting in person, as had a bad experience a few years ago with that. but logistics didn’t work out well. I had a business trip, then she did, then kids activities, she had a planned Euro trip etc.
We finally met, and it was good, had a make out session, hugged, good chemistry, and we continued chatting constantly. Then we just met again earlier today at my place, and she said she wanted to talk. Ok, then.
She said she was starting to catch feelings and saw the potential in this relationship (I did too), but that she could not jump into a seriois relation. Because after her divorce, she got involved with a married guy, that was “supposed to leave his wife”, but he ended up going back with her. And although she knew there was not future there, she still care too much about him and would go back if he called her. But she didn’t want to lose me.
So, I told her that is not what I was lookig for when we connected and asked her to leave.
I appreciate her honesty, even before being intimate (which is what was going to happen today), but why do people do this???? and why did I let it go for so long! damn
