This game has good story but some holes in it?

In witcher 2 if you dont save triss the witch hunt will regardless happen some time after ending of the game.

Helping Iorveth and not helping Roche,he still maintains friendly attitude towards you instead of considering you traitor.

Some important characters dont appear in next part of the game etc from w2 to w3 saskia and iorveth dont appear

Is this because of production time to cut time for game release?
