Regarding the monthly subscription

If I pay one month of the basic subscription, do the 80 daily quills stack? Or is it just 80 today, and even if I just use 30, I only have 80 the next day?

Also, if I buy it halfway through the month, does the subscription last for 30 days or only until the end of the month?
