Help Me UNDERSTAND the Reasoning BEHIND These Situational ADC Items
Before we continue discussing itemization, I would like to better understand a few things. Let me explain how I currently approach item builds.
I've been playing ADC for a long time, so I generally know how to adapt my build based on the enemy team composition, whether it's engage, poke, or a hybrid composition.
For example, when I'm playing Jinx and both teams have strong engage, I often build Yun Tal Wildarrows and Infinity Edge. On the other hand, when facing Hibrid compositions, I usually prefer Kraken Slayer and Phantom Dancer because the extra movement speed helps me reposition more effectively and when facing poke compositions "like ADC, duelist or mages" I prefer Deprecated item and essence reaver looking to poke with my Q and looking to work alone.
However, there are still several items that I'm not entirely sure when to build or which team compositions they perform best against.
- For example, when should I build Navori Quickblades? Is it generally stronger against poke, engage, or hybrid compositions? I been see this on xayah builds but no other adc can uses.
- What about Fiendhunter Bolts? In which situations does this item provide the most value? As far as I understand, it synergizes particularly well with ultimate-focused champions. For example, Yunara seems to build it frequently, and champions like Twitch and Zeri also appear to make good use of it. but everytime i choose Yunara I don't find any value this item and most of the time I choose Phantom Dance or Infinity Edge.
- And what about Statikk Shiv? Since it has changed quite a bit over time and no longer seems to provide the same level of wave clear that it once did, I'm not entirely sure when it should be prioritized.
- Another item that I find interesting is Terminus. I've seen it built quite often, especially on champions like Vayne, although she's certainly not the only ADC who uses it, is she?
My question isn't which champions can build the item, but rather when it should be built. Against what kinds of team compositions does it perform best? Is it more effective against engage, poke, or hybrid teams? I'd like to understand the reasoning behind choosing it Could you explain the ideal situations, team compositions, and champion types for each of these items?
