Early seasons

I’m a first time watcher and I can’t help but notice how often the cast drinks on camera and then gets shown driving their vehicles around?? Has this ever been talked about? I’m sorry if this is stupid, I just think it’s so weird how blatantly they would get drunk and then drive home ON CAMERA.
