[Texas] Don't lose hope , call them.

Hi you all,

I recently was terminated by my employer due to health/medical reasons. They told TWC it was because of "misconduct" so subsequently they denied my claim. I appealed a day after they gave my my denial. I have been waiting about 6 weeks now and have been facing eviction amongst other financial hardships so I needed TWC to escalate my appeal hearing a bit faster. I emailed and called my state's Senator office and they reached out to TWC to inquire about the status of my appeal. TWC called and texted me directly and I was successfully able to have them request an expedited appeal hearing. It was simple and I'm completely grateful.
Just thought I'd share my story so far as some sort of encouragement. Now let's pray that I win! 🤞🏾 God bless.
