$500K MRR in an untapped market with no real competition but little coverage doesn't conform to the ordinary playbook
I saw a post in this community 4days ago about procrastinating SaaS grind and failing to validate your SaaS by not selling to the market and in my opinion it really depends on the market.
In an Eastern African market where majority of core tech infrastructure has not yet been built, the problem is not lacking customers to use or buy your products, but the ability to develop an infrastructure that will scale accomodating millions of customers.
In my OTA project Zip, we found out that only 20% of 61million of people in a country(Tanzania) book intercity travels online and the rest still use manual booking by using physical agent on the station or they go to the physical counter.
So as you can see other part of the world are still in wild west but the technological adoption is huge and growing year by year, meaning in an environment like this if you can identify a core loop hole and you carefully build the infrastructure, then the chance of success is of high margin.
