What should I be asking my doctor

Back story. I've had 2 spinal fusion surgeries in the past 10 years, the most recent in 2021. After that surgery i have always felt like something was stuck in my throat..ENT said it was fine. In 2022 I had a neck MRI that mentioned a thyroid nodule that was so small that follow up wasn't recommended.

I've been having neck pain for a lot of years, but it recently worsened, so I was sent for another MRI, this one showed the nodule had grown to .9cm so my pcp sent me for an ultrasound. They found 5 nodules midpole, 4 were TIRAD 4 (the largest being 1.4cm), 1 was TIRAD 3, 2 enlarged lymph nodes and enlarged thyroid.

In looking up symptoms, things that I've attributed to perimenopause, such as my more than a third hair falling out and the rest being really fragile and dry, extreme fatigue...as if I'm being weighed down, a shaky nervous feeling, and brain fog on steroids. I'm also experiencing A constant need to clear my throat of phlegm, my voice sounds different to me, hoarse and my voice breaks (but I'm a smoker soo), my neck feels more dense?, like it's tight and feels like when your collar is too tight.

My last tsh was normal (.89)

Has anyone else had a similar experience and what was your diagnosis?

Are there specific tests that I should ask for? How consistent are these symptoms with benign nodules vs malignant?

Should I be concerned?
