I did a crude test

Set Monitor to 2:1 scaling and Scale up VS Code to 1440 Size
Set Monitor to 1440P scaling and No Scaling in VS Code

Took Macro shots of each with iPhone 17 Pro

They are clearly different

Keep in mind subtle dim pixels at edges are what makes text appear sharper.

Look at the top of the e.
