Numbered tags question

Hey guys will those single use plastic numbered tags work on my MM jailbird cage? I’m having trouble getting it lined up to either put in a security screw or a multiuse lock 🔐. I tried the lock I bought off of Mature Metal but it got stuck during installation. TIA
