*From cats and dogs to pigs and cows,*

*To naughty imps outside their house.*

*They tear the limbs before the head.*

*Hear cracks and snaps when they fed.*

*At fullest moon they appear,*

*Hunting children we hold so dear.*

*Thank the god who sealed their cave,*

*But little ones must still behave,*

*For they'll return one day, maybe.*

*Up the skies, hope not to see*

*Their sharpened claws and leather wings,*

*Their scaly necks adorned with rings.*

*If they see you eye to eye,*

*You'll never get to say goodbye.*

*Can't say farewell to dearest mother;*

I'm writing a Fantasy Novella Series, not professionally, just posting it in one of the popular online publishing platforms. I'm writing book 2 and it includes characters discovering clues from their children's book of songs and poems. This is the poem I wrote about wyverns. It's inspired by poems like "Little Suck-a-Thumb" meaning to scare children to make them well-behaved. I just added the AI generated graphics to make it look like it came from an old book.
