Is a black cat with white tail tip and white on 4 paws still a black cat?

q in title. I lost my all black ca last fall, still miss him. The cat distribution network is offering a kitten with some white as described.

Part of my thinks it's not the same as having an all black kitty (he did have a small white patch on his chest).

Am I just overthinking this?
