Stone blacksmith bug with armor upgrade in chapter 4

Has anyone encountered this bug? In Chapter 4, I freed the blacksmith Stone and he went to the Swamp. After visiting him, I could choose my reward. Since I'm playing as a Ranger from the Old Camp, I chose the upgrade that would make my armor look like Thorus's. Unfortunately, after selecting this option, nothing changes. Has anyone else had this problem?
