Why do so many American celebrities root for a not American team in the World Cup?

National teams aren’t like clubs. I saw spike Lee support Brazil and attend their training. Like bruh you ain’t Brazilian and you’re ignoring US team for Brazil?

Only way I understand is if you’re form a nation that is not qualified like China or India
