(Concept Character by Steven Griffin — The Queen City Saga Begins)

His name was Roosevelt Eugene Marks.
Born in the Queen City of North Carolina.
Raised in the cracks no one sees.
Forged in the kind of pain no child should carry.

The world didn’t choose him.
Destiny didn’t call his name.
No prophecy.
No mutation.
No alien bloodline.
No tech suit waiting in a lab.
No science experiment.

Just a boy…
and the demons that learned his name long before he learned theirs.

They watched him break.
They fed on every wound, every loss, every night he cried alone.
And when his mother was taken from him, they finally made their move.

They came to claim him.
To hollow him out.
To wear him like a mask.

But Roosevelt didn’t shatter.
He didn’t fall.
He fought back.

And in the moment they tried to take control…
he took control of them.

Now the demons whisper in his blood.
Power surges through the cracks they tried to exploit.
He walks the streets of The Queen City not as a chosen one…
but as something far more dangerous:

A man who survived what was meant to destroy him.

A man who turned his trauma into a weapon.
A man who carries darkness — and bends it to his will.

He wasn’t born a hero.
He wasn’t meant to be one.

He became one anyway.

He is Justice, Truth, and All That is Lawlessness For They are HOLLOWBORN

THE POWERS OF HOLLOWBORN

(Roosevelt Eugene Marks — Official Concept Power Codex)

\---

⭐ 1. Living Demon Lines (Base Form)

These are the first manifestation of his powers — thin, black, moving tattoo‑like lines that crawl across his skin like living shadows.

• Reactive Armor — the lines burst outward to shield him from bullets, knives, blunt force, and other physical attacks
• Wall Cling — they extend and anchor him to walls, ceilings, or surfaces
• Shadow Strength — the demons reinforce his muscles, giving him enhanced strength
• Darkness Speed Boost — he moves faster, quieter, and more fluidly in darkness
• Identity Concealment — he can retract the lines fully into his body to appear normal
• Accelerated Healing — the demons repair his wounds faster than a normal human, but not instantly

This is Roosevelt’s “street‑level” form — the version he uses most often.

\---

⭐ 2. Demon Projection Abilities

Roosevelt can send fragments of the demons outward from his body.

• Tracker Demons — small shadow‑creatures detach from him and follow targets silently
• Information Gathering — these demons can observe, listen, and return knowledge to him
• Possession Lite — they can briefly influence weak‑willed individuals, but not fully control them

This makes him a terrifying investigator — he can be everywhere without being seen.

\---

⭐ 3. Full Silhouette Form (Abyss Form)

This is the transformation where the demons fully cover Roosevelt’s body, swallowing him in a black, featureless void with dim white eyes.

When people look at him in this form, it feels like staring into a bottomless abyss.

He retains all base powers, but gains:

• Abyssal Strength — far stronger than his base form
• Abyssal Durability — physical attacks barely register
• Soul Pull — he can drag the souls of the wicked into the abyss within him
• Fear Aura — his presence induces terror, paralysis, or hallucinations in enemies
• Shadow Expansion — his silhouette can stretch, distort, or engulf areas

This form is not just power — it’s a spiritual battlefield.

⭐ 4. The Cost of His Powers

This is what makes Hollowborn unique — his powers aren’t free.

• Emotional Toll — using the demons drains him mentally
• Risk of Losing Control — the demons always want to take over
• Soul Corrosion — the more souls he pulls in, the more he risks becoming hollow himself
• Light Weakness — bright light weakens his powers and slows his movements

These weaknesses make him compelling — powerful, but never safe.
