Looking for recommendations

Hello all. As part of my moving book 1 to Amazon I am working on my newsletter subscriptions. I am not here to schill, rather I want some help with a concept.

People often complain how there are so many books that never make RS, for a variety of reasons that we don't need to rehash. I want to point people back towards RR, but towards good but unknown stories. Thoughts? I would read and review the first 10k. But I would likely create my own system for ranking. Do you have a recommendation of a story I could start with? Am I crazy?
