Color Scheme And Powerset used. Damn it

I came up with a character which I kinda worked. I thought about her life and I guess her powers. I thought that my colour scheme hadn't been used nor had my costume style. However, I found another comic creator who uses the same colour scheme as a similar weapon, but not a powerset. I'm not complaining about stolen characters because I haven't released anything yet. What I'm worried about is being perceived that way. Also, it seems like the powerset is used a lot with the same colour scheme, and I'm stuck on what to do further with my character. Do I throw her in the bin or what.
