Men: How common is micro-cheating, really?

✅ Open To Everyone

Maybe social media has completely messed with my perception of relationships, but I genuinely want to know what men think.

I keep seeing TikToks saying that all men micro-cheat in some way. Not necessarily sleeping with someone else, but doing little things that keep the door open. Following tons of attractive women, secretly liking stories, sending DMs that seem innocent on the surface, chatting up women at bars because they like the attention, flirting just enough to see if they still “have it,” stuff like that.

I saw someone describe it as “loading the gun but not pulling the trigger,” and honestly that’s kind of what it feels like to me. Not cheating, but not exactly acting like someone who’s completely unavailable either.

The comments on these videos are always full of people saying that’s just how men are and that women are naive if they think their boyfriend doesn’t do it too.

So now I’m wondering if loyalty actually looks different for men than I thought it did. Are there really men out there who, once they’re happy in a relationship, genuinely have no interest in entertaining attention from other women? Or do most men do some version of this and just draw the line before it becomes physical cheating?

I’m not trying to start a gender war. I’m honestly just curious if social media is showing me the worst examples or if this is something most men quietly admit to doing.
