I Never Wanted a Cat. Now I Have Two and I'd Do Anything for Them ❤️
We got these two cats, Oli and Boba
To be honest, we never planned on getting cats. We had other plans back then, and we still do. Having a pet was never really part of it
But my girlfriend has always loved cats. She used to have cats before, and one day there was a stray cat hanging around outside our door. She started feeding it, and of course, the cat kept coming back. My girlfriend has a soft spot for animals, especially cats. 😂
A few months later, that stray cat gave birth to four kittens. Sadly, we never found out what happened to two of them. Another one got lost around our area, leaving only one kitten behind, Oli
Back then, Oli looked so pitiful. His eyes were covered with dirt and he could barely see. We cleaned them as best as we could, but we noticed he was still very weak. We decided to take him to the vet. At that point, we weren't attached to him yet. We simply wanted to help
That vet visit was also when we learned that having a pet is definitely not cheap 😂
Afterward, we brought Oli inside the house so we could monitor him and help him recover. Little did we know, that was the start of a bond that grew so quickly. Before we knew it, Oli had become part of our family
As for Boba, we got him because we wanted Oli to have a companion. We named him Boba because his colors and patterns reminded us of milk tea with boba pearls🧋
They haven't properly met yet because they're still completing their vaccines, but we're hoping they'll finally meet sometime during the first or second week of July once everything is settled
I guess I'm sharing this because I never really knew how to care for a cat before. It wasn't something I planned for, and I never imagined I'd end up with pets of my own
But now, here we are with two little babies that we love and care for so much
I've realized that having furbabies isn't all that different from caring for someone you love. You worry about them, look after them, celebrate their little wins, and make sure they're happy and healthy. Somehow, they find a way to become family before you even realize it ❤️
