A realization that changed the way I look at anxiety
For years, I thought anxiety was the problem.
I thought I worried too much.
I thought I was too sensitive.
I thought something was wrong with me.
The more anxious I felt, the more I tried to find answers.
I wanted certainty.
I wanted to know everything would be okay.
But recently, I realized something that completely changed the way I see it.
A lot of my suffering wasn't coming from anxiety itself.
It was coming from my constant need to eliminate uncertainty.
I was treating every unknown as something that had to be solved immediately.
Every unanswered question.
Every doubt.
Every possibility.
The moment I stopped demanding certainty from life and started accepting that uncertainty is part of being human, something shifted.
My anxiety didn't disappear overnight.
But it lost a lot of its power.
I'm still learning, but this perspective has helped me more than endlessly trying to think my way out of every fear.
