[S18, E1] Earnest thoughts about one part

I know the Canada wild card PR statement was jokingly over-the-top “cover our asses so we don’t end up flamed by Canadians on Reddit,” but as a Canadian I genuinely really appreciated it!

I was already kinda disappointed at an America season (I mean extremely excited for new Jetlag in general but not as much as if it was somewhere else) since I’m just experiencing total America fatigue due to it’s inescapable presence in our media.

Still, was excited to watch the season and had already anticipated the idea of a Canada feature as a “bonus” state and the idea just icked me out as I worried it wouldn’t be done tastefully, and I really don’t find any humour in the threatening of our sovereignty.

Even though the PR bit was read for laughs, I genuinely appreciate that the Jetlag guys were self aware of how the Canada feature could come off and made super clear that this was included for cool game expansion reasons (which I agree adds a great twist!) and out of no conflation between Canada and a 51st state.

REALLY LONG RAMBLE TO SAY THAT IM A SENSITIVE CANADIAN AND APPRECIATE MY SENSITIVITIES BEING ACKNOWLEDGED ❤️❤️
