My French bulldog *might* have eaten the string from rotisserie chicken

I was deboning a chicken, and my cat kept jumping up on the counter and I kept pushing him down. While pushing him down I might have dropped the string on the ground and my dog MIGHT have eaten it. I don’t know for sure, all I know is I’ve looked everywhere for that string and I can’t find it. The string was tied up so it is a loop of elastic butcher twine. What should I do?!
