Mutual friend (20f) kept accusing me of (20f) harassing her, despite initiating things with me.

I hooked up with a mutual friend at my friend's game night. The entire night she was pulling me into bathrooms and bedrooms to kiss me. But at the same time, she kept loudly telling everyone she was straight and didn’t like women.

Whenever our friends would joke that we were disappearing together or probably off “doing gay things” (dumb college humor, I know), she would immediately start arguing like “I’m straight, I don’t even like girls.” After a while I started feeling weird about the whole thing because it honestly came off like she had a lot of internalized homophobia, so I tried to keep my distance for the rest of the night.

But then she would literally keep coming near me and sitting next to me. Our friends even started pointing out how we somehow kept ending up next to each other. At one point she seriously claimed I was harassing her and following her around, which completely threw me off because she had been initiating almost everything all night.

Then later, while everyone was outside smoking and talking, she grabbed my hand and tried leading me back inside, which I’m assuming was to kiss again. A few people noticed and joked like “where are you guys going to fuck,” and she responded with “No, she’s making me really uncomfortable, she keeps following me.” That part is what’s really messing with my head now. I genuinely do not want people thinking I’m a predator or that I was harassing her when the entire situation felt mutual privately.

I also don’t want to escalate the situation because everyone was really fucked up and most people probably don’t even remember half of it, but I’ll most likely have to be around this person again and now I don’t know how to act. I want to talk to my friend (who's both our friends) about it. How do I approach this situation without escalating?
