I am ashamed of my service

If you are someone who aspires to join the foreign service... Don't. Take your talents elsewhere. It is now a shell of empty people shuffling their papers around. Nobody cares for anyone, they will stab you in the back the first chance they get. You have no job security, there is no union to advise or represent you. Your employee claims are at the whims of whoever is trying to stay employed tomorrow.

Not only am I ashamed of my service in the foreign service, I am ashamed of my military service. America is unrecognizable from what I thought it was when I enlisted.
