4w4d pregnant, first Drs appointment wasn’t what I expected and now they don’t want to see me until I’m 10 weeks?

I messaged my PCM as soon as I got a positive result (June 1st) and they booked me for today. I was surprised they wanted to see me so early, and turns out they sort of didn’t? I never even spoke to a Dr or a nurse, just the lab manager who had me pee in a cup and wait for a urine test. After that 5 minute wait, the lady said congrats and sent me up to the front desk with a paper confirming my pregnancy, and nothing else. The receptionist asked if I needed a follow up appointment, to which I said yes but that I wasn’t sure when. That lady told me they didn’t need to see me again until I hit 10 weeks, which just seems odd to me. I didn’t get any information about Prenatals, diet, anything. I’ve done lots of my own research, but this still feels strange. I’d love any commentary. Am I just being needy or does this seem weird to any of you guys too? For context, I have a pregnant friend who is being seen at another practice and had 3 or 4 appointments by the time she hit 10 weeks.
