Should I try to fix things with my ex?

I’m 17 and he’s 19. We only dated for three months or so. He lives about five hours away but he always made the drive to see me for a few days. We both had issues, I felt like I couldn’t fully open up emotionally and it bothered him, which was understandable. He had very bad trust issues and was really insecure. Anything I did he thought I was cheating on him. He always had to know where I was going or who I was going with. (He had my location). If I didn’t tell him where I was going he would get upset. Sometimes I’d tell him what I was gonna be doing the next day, and apparently he wouldn’t listen because when I would do what I planned he would say I didn’t tell him I was doing anything that day etc. None of my friends liked him because they knew he would argue with me over anything almost everyday. I really did like him I just didn’t show it in ways that he could understand, and when I would he would think I was lying or cheating on him and that’s why I was acting that way. I understand why he may have been a little paranoid about me cheating, because he wanted all of the guys out of my phone that I didn’t know or used to like, and I kept two guys who were online friends. He found out and it made him angry because according to him they couldn’t have been just friends. I unadded them and apologized and he always bought it back up. I had no guys in my phone except for family and two friends who I talked to irl. On the other hand he had a bunch of friends who were girls and he was allowed to keep them on his snap and insta. He would always monitor my following on Facebook, insta, snap, and TikTok. He went through my phone once but I never went through his. I have a fake acct on Snapchat and one day I saw that he added it (it’s a girl) and I kept talking to him on it. He said he was single and even agreed to meeting up with her. When I confronted him he just apologized and said it wouldn’t happened again. He was perfect when we would hang out in person together but online he was rude a lot of the time. He refused to call me first because I was “always busy”. He expected me to call him when I wasn’t busy and would get mad at me if I told him the phone worked both ways even though he would say that to me. I broke up with him last week and I feel bad about it because he always thought I didn’t care about him and I feel like that proved it. I did it kind of out of nowhere when we were supposed to be planning to hangout. He refused to help me plan even though I told him he could come see me. He said I had to plan it since he had to book a hotel and drive down here. I got fed up with his double standards and broke up with him. I really liked him and I can’t think of any reason his behavior would change so much over the phone vs in person. I just felt like it was for the best because of his behavior and the fact that I leave for bootcamp in less than two months. I need advice on this I’m leaning towards not talking to him but maybe I’m wrong.
