Honey Gourami feeding

Less a help me question and more of a is this normal. But are gouramis pigs for everyone? Mine will enjoy the flakes/pellets with the rest of the tank, but when they’re done they go and start devouring the snello I drop in for my snails too to the point I have to drop extra in just to ensure there’s some left for them.
