Gasping for air

Hi all,

I’m a bit confused right now and wondering if this is normal for some people or not because I never remember experiencing it.

Been an opiate user on and off. Used to use oxy, tapentadol mainly.

At the moment just doing low doses of DHC over the course of 3-4 hours every once in a while (30mg-> 30-> 30->15 —>15) etc.

I never get rlly high or anything, especially compared to before where I would nod a lot. This is just a background feeling thing.

I’ve found that sometimes when I’m trying to sleep whilst still high I’ll fall asleep then instantly jolt awake gasping for air and it gets me hella anxious it felt like my breathing just stopped.

I never remember this happening with much stronger opiates and wondering if anyone has any advice or relatable stories?
