I was raped, and that isn't the worst part
Long story ahead:
I (20M) am in a relationship with this girl (21F) for about 2 years now. Starting months were enjoyable, we loved each other, we enjoyed spending time w each other and all. After the 5 month mark we decided to get physical and that's when things started going downhill. She became insanely obsessive after our first sex towards me, my friends, my daily life and everything. She needs to have access to all my passwords, my location, my chats, who I talk to, what I do in the entire day and at first I wasn't really annoyed but it became too much when she assaulted me physically after learning I texted a girl from my college batch regarding some assignment of sort as she's the CR. I couldn't lay a hand on her because she started threatening me that she'd file rape cases or a assault case on me if I tried something funny. I stayed quiet. I lost all attraction, love, anything towards her at that moment. I want to leave her. Whenever I try to bring my feelings about breakup she starts abusing both physically and verbally to an extent no partner should ever do. Yesterday, she visited my pg, had sex with me without my consent, on the pretext on same blackmail that she'd file false rape cases against me if I don't take off my clothes. I couldn't say anything, couldn't do anything, I just lay down on my bed, let her do her thing, and cried the whole night because of how powerless I feel when I've not done ANYTHING wrong. I matched with some lawyers and all they've said is to collect proofs of abuse since men can't really file rape cases against women. I was devastated by this fact, why is it like that? What about my dignity, my safety? I come from a poor background. I don't even have resources to fight a legal case, more than that I fear that losing the case would banish my college scholarship, my college candidature, and would potentially end me and my career just because I can't be considered a victim when I actually am. I would rather suicide or stay silent my entire life than lose a mental battle by filing a case which I know I can't win.
What would you do if you had a partner like that? How would you leave a rapist who doesn't even fear the consequences because they just don't exist?
