Is Matt Fiddes reliable?

He was Michael Jackson’s bodyguard from 1999-2009. I’m wondering if he was really close to Michael as he claims to be and says the accusations are bullshit and stuff, I just wanna make sure before I watch all these videos of him in interviews that he’s a real one and not just claiming to have been close to the king.
