Can spearmint tea delay your period?

Meds/Supplements

Hey everyone, I haven’t been officially tested for PCOS. I don’t meet the criteria for hirsutism and I’ve always had very regular periods (usually spot-on or just 1 day off). However, I’ve been struggling with severe acne that has really destroyed my self-esteem. It has been completely resistant to multiple types of treatment. Because my breakouts are concentrated mostly on my jaw, chin, and around my mouth (with a bit less on my nose and cheeks), I figured it might be hormonal. Deciding to try a natural approach, I started drinking spearmint tea (using fresh leaves) less than a week ago. Coincidentally, this past week was supposed to be the week leading up to my period. Now, my period is 3 days late, which is a major anomaly for me. The twist: I know it’s way too early to see real skin or hair changes, but I’ve actually noticed my acne getting a tiny bit better. My severe breakouts are slowing down and decreasing in number. I’m torn on what to do next. Should I keep going for a few months to see if my acne clears up (proving it's hormonal), or am I risking messing up my hormones further by drinking it? Has anyone else experienced a delayed period right after starting spearmint tea?
