This is truly not anything groundbreaking in thought but today as I folded laundry and did the dishes, I just thought to myself that I don’t know how this house gets so dirty so quickly.

For context I do have a toddler (that is also potty training right now) am 30 weeks pregnant and have a long haired cat. My husband and I clean about an hour everyday after putting the toddler down and we both do our best to keep the general areas clean. Dishes put in the dish washer right away, clothes in hampers etc etc.

But even with that, I swear nothing is ever truly clean enough. The baseboards need cleaning. The doors are dirty. Something spilled and dried before we could clean it. Carpets that need vacuuming with hair all over it during shedding season. Dishes. Laundry. Diapers (we cloth diaper).

We can’t afford to hire a housekeeper for help currently as I lost my job even though it would be a great help. I do have a robot vacuum and mop and that thing is a godsend.

Truly there isn’t much point to this. Just swear the adult life is weird. It’s so rewarding yet so draining. I wouldn’t change it for the world but I would love to hire a housekeeper 🤣

The fact that the cleaning is never and will never be fully done spirals me
