20 Minutes Prior:

Nurse: “Good job Jessica, now just take your quetiapine and I’ll let you sleep.”

Jess: “You never answered my question, when can I go home?”

Nurse: “We don’t have an exact date yet but sometime soon hopefully.”

Volthoom: \*that means no\*

Jess: “You said that last time.”

Nurse: “Look Jessica, we just need to know you’ll be safe.”

Volthoom: \*She means you’re a monster, you’ll never leave here.\*

Jess: “Quiet you!”

Nurse: “Excuse me?”

Jess: “sorry I wasn’t talking to you…”

Nurse: “Okay but it’s that kind of talk that worries us.”

Volthoom: \*See what I mean, you’re locked in a cage for a reason and you’ll never get out, unless…\*

Jess: \*Unless I give you control, not happening!\*

Nurse: (snaps her fingers) “Jessica, come back to me, just take your meds please”

Jess: “I’m sorry can you please give me a minute.”

Nurse: “No, we need you to take them now.”

Volthoom: \*Just give into your fear, those pills are meant to destroy your mind and keep you quiet, you’ll never leave\*

Jess: “I SAID QUIET!”

Nurse: (Into her walkie) “We have a code purple in room 306, repeat code purple room 306.”

Jess: “I’m sorry just let me think!”

Volthoom: \*You see the fear in her eyes, you caused this.\*

Nurse: “Easy Jessica, we’re all on the same side here.”

Volthoom: \*She lies\*

Jess: “NO YOU’RE A LIAR!!!”

The nurse runs back as four orderlies with syringes enter the room cautiously.

Volthoom: \*Your fear will let you die here, just like you did your “friends”.\*

Jess: “I DIDN’T LET THEM DIE”

Orderly 1: “Easy miss Cruz, we’re just gonna let you take a nice nap, okay?”

Jess: “NECESITO TIEMPO PARA PENSAR”

Volthoom: \*They’re going to kill you, you won’t have another chance give in\*

Orderly 2: \*Lunges with the needle\*

Jess: “Fine, you win.”

Volthoom: \*And I always will.\*
