AIO I am worries for my and my dogs safety
Hello, this is my first post of this nature. I'm trying to work out if I'm over reacting. My friends say I'm essentially under reacting but I just need that extra non bias opinions. Obviously everything is from my prospective so there is bias there.
To start out, i will say that I already have a emergency exit I can take if things get worse. My two friends and partner have been nothing but supportive and are willing to help. If things become unsafe, me and my son (dog) have a place to go and I've already been looking into support places that can also help. I'm just scared to take that step towards getting out cause I don't know how that will go.
Ok key players. Me (TM 23(unfortunately being trans is relevant), M (F 50 something), P (M 52), N (M 29(My partner).
This is more so I collection of stories of M and sometimes P. All lead to my current situation.
The first story I immediately think of is when I was 15 in my first relationship. My partner at the time had a friend/ex (18?) who was hanging around to help her out. He'd sleep on the couch. Eventually the friendship broke down as he was incredibly jealous of me. Just before it did, M admitted to me that she'd slept with him. I freaked out cause that was disgusting to me. M would yell at me for over reacting. She's a human who has needs too was her defence. Unfortunately when the friendship broke down, said guy started throwing details of that time with M at me and using that to attack me.. M also gave me a unnecessary amount of details of what they did.
The next incident was within the last year and really made me realise what I'm used to isn't normal, was a comment towards my partner. I was for some reason I can't remember why but I was holding M's phone. I was being cautious as I knew recently she'd taken inappropriate pictures. I made a jokes about it and she turned to me and said something along the lines of. "Oh don't worry, those nudes are for N". At the time I thought it was weird and kinda funny since that's been my normal.. N when I told him was reasonably very very creeped out.
After that I tried to tell M not to talk about N like that, but that became a fight. Now I don't talk about him much to her. That in itself pisses M off.
Most recently, M has started dating P. Since then she's gone off the rails. Important to note, P is a registered and convicted child predator, the poor child was 7 and it went till she was 24. P claims it was false accusations and M whole heartedly believes him. I will admit for a bit I believed him, he is nothing if not convincing. However his been labelled a bullshit artist. He frequently talks about having killed people, slitting a young woman's throat and having been a secret agent in my country. He also claims to be a mechanic, builder, plumper, army veteran, carer and nurse.
The first incident that made me honestly start questioning and looking into P was a fight with M. I live in a caravan near M's room with a very reactive dog. She'd have P come over at 2:30am every morning for coffee, cuddles and so he could get lunch. He wont eat properly without her feeding him apparently. Every morning he'd walk past my caravan and wake me and the dog. My dog was doing his job but it was driving me nuts. 1-2 weeks of it was enough before I spoke up. I spent many days fretting over how I'd address this and tried to work out compromises. Eventually I dropped a message asking M to please not have P come past my caravan so early, he wakes me up. I tried to address it from more of a room mate position instead of child and mother. This went predictably badly. M stormed into my caravan and started yelling. There was alot said but I'll list some of my favourite points.
I ruined her life by being born and having ptsd.
I want her to die alone and never be happy.
Apparently this is how real relationships go, people see eachother more and if she doesn't see P in the morning she only sees him three times a week not including weekends. This particular comment is a jab at the fact me and N see eachother once a month if that, we live quite far apart.
M wanted to move my caravan down the middle of the paddock so I will never be bothered by her again.
I need a psychologist if I haven't got over my ptsd yet. I do indeed have a councillor but M moved us to the middle of no where and the psychologists here won't touch me cause I'm to bad.
She was pissed i refused to sit down with P to discuss this issue. Despite having dated for 3-4 months, she refers to him as her husband.
There was alot more but those were what I really really remember.
After this incident, I started really looking into P and starting to worry bout my safety. My friends and N also started worrying. One of my friends suggested security cameras and a padlock. I got both and oh boy I argue with my security cameras alot. They are great but hate me working at my desk and moving around the caravan. The cameras also think my dog is a human which is hilarious, I wish I could post photos I got off the cameras of him.
Most recent incident that really stands out though I am actively on my way home to while writing this. I a few days ago decided to go stay with N just to visit him. That meant leaving my pup with M and padlocking my caravan. During my time away I did have a text argument with M. I also was informed that in true M tradition, every time I've been to N's place, she's managed to kill either one if my chickens or my duck. I only found out this time because my security camera went off. M had bypassed my padlock and went into my caravan. She said she was putting the chook in my fridge cause she had no where else to put it. She claimed I never locked the padlock, which I know I definitely did. I'm understandably freaked out. Though funny enough N was more pissed off than me. I'm used to my boundaries being stomped.
Another on running issue that isn't really worth a full story is M refusing to accept I'm trans. She refuses to use correct pronouns despite me being on testosterone for 5 or something months now. When she does use my right pronouns, she makes a show of it so everyone knows shes a good person who actually respects her son. I'm unfortunately used to it so it's not a fight I bother having. It does however have the affect of me being very confused when someone genders me right 🤣
Each day has a new story. These are particular ones i can think of. Some of the older stories i dont remember fully so they have less detail, but I felt it was important for context. I hope everything makes sense, I'm just looking for other perspectives and reassurance I'm not over reacting. This stuff has been so normalised that I am struggling to not tell myself thats its actually my fault. I have a bad habit I'm trying to break of punishing myself for upsetting M.. I don't know why it started but if I upset her I used to not allow myself to do anything but stare at a wall and I wouldn't allow myself to eat either.. it was really bad.
Thank you for reading. It means alot. If I can work out how to post photos I'll see if I can get a photo of my doggo. His the light of my life.
