There is definitely something special about this place. It's weird, but it makes me feel nostalgic about something I have never experienced before. I was wondering for a long time why do I feel this way. I think it is because traveling in Japan feels like looking at the world through child eyes again - everything is so colorful, clean, safe and tidy to the point it feels unreal. The same way we see the world as kids when we are too dumb to see the dark side of the world. There must be something dark about this country as well for sure but as a visitor who came here just for two months I cannot see it.

Vagabonding in this place is suprisingly easy. Food is not too expensive (10 euros a day is enough). Sleeping outside is not a problem, everyone minds their own business and nobody cares as long as you leave campsite before the sunrise. The only exceptions are the big cities. Osaka, Hiroshima and Tokyo were the only places where it was too hard for me to find a place to sleep for free because of huge population density, so I had to pay for my stay in hostels or manga cafes which are relativly cheap (never paid more than 15 euros per night). Other than that there is plenty of facilites very usefull for houseless travelers - coin showers on the beaches, convenience stores with sitting areas, power outlets, warm meals and plenty of bridges and solar panel farms under which I spent a few nights.

Definitly one of my favourite countries I have visited. You have everything here : beautifull nature, interesting history, rich culture and modern cities. Sadly I am slowly running out of money and soon will have to go back to Europe and start searching for a job. Hopefully one day I will come back.
