Made a formal complaint to Patient Relations, and now the doctor is saying I need a follow-up (even though he cleared me previous). What should I do?

Question - Other (not a medical question)

I got an MRI scan about three months ago at the same hospital as the Doctor. I received the radiologist’s report a week later and used Gemini AI, which said the report was clean. Of course, I wanted confirmation from my doctor.

I spent over 8 weeks trying to get a response. I wasn't spamming them—just sending a short "what's the status?" message (through Epic) every 1 to 2 weeks. The only response I got (front desk) was that the doctor needed more time and that my scan probably didn't show anything serious. Eventually, they just started ignoring my messages. I did get the department involved, which made them respond, but front desk said to give more time and ignored me after that.

At this point, went to patient relations. The doctor responded with a message late night (patient relation contacted me in the morning on the same day haha), saying my scan was clear--no cancer/wont turn into + no follow-up needed. I thanked patient relations and I thought that was the end. This was about 1.5 weeks ago.

Well I got a call from the doc and he left a message. Saying if I had any questions to either call or message him. I was going to ignore it, but hey I'll bite. Messaged him, saying based on his last message about MRI results that I'm clean and wouldn't need a follow-up. Ended with I don't have any questions.

They responded pretty quickly saying I need a follow-up and to tell them what the best time to schedule a follow-up. Of course this made me laugh and a bit annoyed. I thought about ignoring this, but what would be the best route? Tell them Im going to a new doctor, ignore them, or do the follow-up (i think they want to charge me and clear this from their file?) has anyone had similar situations? Also concerned he probably wouldn't give me the same level of care since Im thinking he did get in trouble??
