AIO - (Now Ex) Girlfriend's new "therapist" holds appointments for her with a psychic present.

I'm a huge mental health advocate, and it's a very important thing for me to know that my romantic partner is taking care of their mental health. So when my (now ex) girlfriend told me that she got a new therapist, I was very proud of them. She was going to therapy regularly and then started saying things like "My therapist told me that we're part of the same soul family"...which made me raise an eyebrow.

Turns out she's been seeing an "alternative" therapist who regularly holds sessions with a psychic present. She asked me if I wanted to listen, and I declined out of respect for her privacy. She got upset and felt like I wasn't being supportive, so I reluctantly agreed to listen to a recorded session. It was exactly what I was worried about. Every time the psychic got tripped up, her "therapist" would add context to seemingly bring her back on track. This happened several times throughout the session and she asked me what I thought.

I gave her my honest opinion. I said that this seems like something way out of the ordinary, and that I felt like her therapist was leading the psychic to tell her what she wanted to hear. I told her that she shouldn't be treating this as a substitute for psychotherapy with someone with a PhD, and that I was worried about how she was letting these people guide her down her journey in struggling with severe emotional trauma from a previous marriage.

Well, shit hit the fan and she freaked the fuck out on me. Called me every name in the book, made some remarks that really cut me deep, and told me to get out....so I did. Wed been having problems for a while, so this was the final straw for me....did I overreact here?
