RBC Canadian Open 2026: Some things about TPC Toronto that should shape how you bet this week
only the second year on tour at tpc toronto and a few things stand out before thursday. this is one of the longest par-70s in regular rotation at 7,389 yards , six par-4s over 480 yards, four of them over 500, guys are hitting hybrids into greens all day. the wide fairways feel like a distance-doesn’t-matter signal but last year 4 of 5 top-5 finishers still ranked top-20 in driving distance, so the bombers are still getting rewarded. all five of those top-5s were also top-15 in putting for the week, bentgrass/poa greens with big elevation changes around them. 35 players hit double-digit under par so this is a scoring event not a grind..ryan fox won at 18-under in a playoff over sam burns, who’s back this week. plays i like: wyndham clark (+2000) is the outright, best approach stats in the field and back-to-back top-3s coming in (byron nelson win, solo third at memorial). kristoffer reitan (+300 top-10) is the value play, ott fifth in this field, t6 at the memorial last week with a final-round 65, the market hasn’t caught up. fleetwood (+150 top-10) is the floor play. fading aaron rai outright despite solid ball-striking stats — distance rank 98th in the field at a course that paid off the top-20 distance profile last year, that’s a hard fit mismatch. full model at strokesedge.com/picks.html — what are you all playing this week?
