I went to three-point center ( he’ll on earth)
I went to 3 Point Center. My name is A.p obviously I’m not giving my full name here, but I went to 3 Point Center and today I stumbled across a documentary on Netflix that reminded me of how bad the place really was. It is taking me years to accept the trauma. I went through when I was there on my arm was broken, and my ligaments were completely torn. My elbow was shattered. I had to get surgery and still my parents didn’t press charges. I went to three-point center and I was kept in isolation room for often running away. The isolation rooms were blank. The walls were blank. Everything was blank when I was kept in there for a week. My mind went so insane that in order to get some kind of stimulation, I started running my finger across the wall until I bled. A girl died right in front of me I watch kids be restrained on a daily no deep conversations were allowed to happen and when we were allowed to have deep conversations it was in a therapy setting where we could give each other what they called feedback feedback for those who aren’t aware is where you get to voice your anger at people it’s the only time you get to be angry. I was called manipulative for trying to tell my parents I wanted to leave. I was called a victim, and told that I had a victim complex because I didn’t like it there I was given barely any formal education. They claimed to be a school, but they weren’t at school. They didn’t teach me anything. They claimed to be therapeutic, but it wasn’t therapeutic. It was fear. I was afraid that I would be kept there longer that I would never get out so eventually you just start accepting that this is what you have to do and when you are meaner during feedback to others closer you are to get out so I’ll take accountability and say firsthand that I gave some pretty cruel feedback myself we were brainwashed. We were brainwashed into thinking that compliance equals freedom so I’ll say this now fuck that place. I was a suicidal 13 year-old after going through years of trauma before that I was sent to a wilderness program. I was kicked out of that wilderness program and sent to three points. I now realize the extent of how fucked that place was I always knew it was kind of fucked up. I never really had the words to write this all out and I never really had the courage to say it all. I was often told that it was my fault the staff around had this one saying that if you lived here, you would be home already and maybe my arm wouldn’t been broken if I wouldn’t run away but the point stands that 13-year-old child who is running away from a place doesn’t deserve to have their arm broken for it. We were humiliated in front of each other when we got in trouble or did something bad they would put you on arms length which meant that you had to be in arm’s-length of a staff all the time they called it level two that means no go into the bathroom alone you watched and showers you have to put on a bathing suit . When in isolation. There were no cameras in the actual isolation room itself I won’t go into all of that happened in those rooms for my own sanity, but I was a kid. I’m realizing now that the owner and founder had ties to an old cult. A lot of the practices use their practices used in this school. I I’m a survivor. I am so thankful I got out and I’m really happy that place got shut down and that that never has to happen to another person.
