Am I being a hopeless romantic?

Went on a first date with a girl a few days ago and I thought it went well. We had a few drinks before and a few more after we got back to my place after. One thing led to another and we hooked up, which she initiated.

We ended up cuddling, playing with her hair, etc. It was great until she asked about my previous relationships which I thought was a little bit of a red flag but I played it cool and continued the conversation. She then told me she was one year out of a three year relationship. She also told me she “doesn’t sleep around very often” which made me feel pretty good. We talked on the date while cuddling about “doing this again”.

A few days later I asked her on a second date and she’s been distant with one word texts and hasn’t responded in a couple of days.

I just want to know if a first date that escalates fast like that if she can feel regret or feel like things are maybe moving way too fast the morning after. Or it could have scared her off or made her realize she isn’t ready to be seeing people but it’s not my place to know. It could also very well be she just lost interest.

Am I being a hopeless romantic or is she just not interested?
