Still no challenges…?
And I think only one fire pit game so far. I know that UK tv is struggling so the budget isn’t there, but I’m really missing the challenges being every other day. We get to see more personality and why couples are/aren’t compatible.
I hope we get more as time goes on! I hate to compare it to USA but that’s one thing that’s making it better than uk right now
Edit: I think part of the problem is for a lot of people ITVX isn’t a platform they watch anything else on. In the US, Peacock is a really popular channel and it’s built into Amazon Prime I think which is huge and really accessible! Then it’s licensed globally. UK Love Island is popular globally but I think the only way to watch it outside the UK is via piracy.
I’m sure ITV have been crunching the numbers, but as a viewer the recent seasons just aren’t as entertaining compared to earlier seasons. It’s not supposed to be like Big Brother, the challenges are central to the format we were introduced to from the start
