cd drive not working?

my friend drives a 02 avalon and her cd drive isnt loading discs. we lowk pushed a disc in there (yes our bad ik) and then used the butter knife method to remove it and it isnt loading discs, does anyone know why this is happening? i used to have an 08 es350 and didnt have this issue and both are 6 cd players. Thanks!
