We have 17 days left to get 200 people, but our big influencer (160k IG / 500k TikTok) barely helps. What should we do?

Hey Reddit,

We’re organizing an event and partnered with a pretty big artist who has around 160k followers on Instagram and almost 500k on TikTok.

The problem is she’s not really helping us bring people in. We’ve been trying to get in touch with her for weeks, but she replies very rarely and doesn’t promote the event actively.

Right now we have only 16 people signed up out of 200 needed, and only 17 days left.

We’re trying to do everything ourselves without relying on her audience — posting everywhere, running ads, reaching out to people directly, etc. But the numbers are still very low.

Has anyone been in a similar situation with an influencer who doesn’t deliver? What would you do in our place?

Any advice on:

• How to quickly attract more people without a big budget?

• Alternative promotion strategies?

• Should we confront the artist or just accept it and move on?

• Or maybe completely change the approach?

Would really appreciate any realistic advice. Thanks in advance!
